Dear Prospective Member,
Thank you for your interest in Abingdon Hockey Club.
We are always looking for new members of all abilities, and we have players of all levels of experience and of all ages. Players are eligible to join and play for the club from the age of 13.
If you are interested in joining then the best thing to do is to come along to a training session at Tilsley Park on a Tuesday evening from 8-9.30pm and give us a go! Alternatively you can contact us at abingdonhockey@gmail.com
Abingdon Hockey Club has three men’s teams, two ladies’ teams and one mixed team which means we are able to offer a range of standards, and a route of progression through the club. So whether you are an experienced player looking for a new club, or a ‘rusty’ player looking to get back into the game, or a complete beginner – we have a team for you! We like to create a friendly, supportive environment for all our players and you will feel part of the club – and part of a team – in no time!

Membership Fees*
Full Adult Membership: £115 for the year (£150 if not paid before 31st of October)**
Unwaged / Student / Junior Membership: £65 for the year (£100 if not paid before 31st of October)**
Goalkeeper with own Kit Membership: £25 for the year.
Occasional Players: (5 games or less): £30 for the year.
Match Fees***
Adults: £6 per game
Unwaged / Junior / Students: £4
Mixed Games: £5 for all.
*Membership fees cover costs which the club has to pay such as insurance, England Hockey Affilitation, pitch hire for training sessions, cost of coaches, cost of training umpires, equipment and other such things.
**Players who are new to the club and miss the deadline for the reduced fees because they have only recently joined, will still be eligible to pay at the lower rate. New members are entitled to play up to three games before they will be asked for membership fees – so you can try before you buy!
***Match fees cover the cost of pitch hire for matches, teas and umpires.
