Coming Up In May...

The season may be done but there is a lot still happening at Abingdon Hockey Club!

As part of Abingdon's Coronation Celebrations, AHC will be at Fun in the Park! Stop by and say hi or even better, volunteer a couple of hours to help promote the club and spread the joy of hockey. Some extra pairs of hands to help guide activities would be very much appreciated. Please contact Clare Cobb on Teamo for more information!

Want to watch hockey from the best viewpoint? Sign-up to become an umpire! Sinead will be running an online introduction to umpiring for all those interested in developing a new skill or brushing up on an existing one. The session will be focused on the skills and knowledge required to be an effective umpire and we will look to continue these sessions (with practical coaching) throughout the Summer League season. Sign-up now on Teamo or contact Sinead Matthews for more information.

Open to all senior members, this is a free weekly session to build on the end-of-season fitness levels ready to hit the ground running in September. All starting abilities will be catered for. Come and celebrate the fantastic achievements of our youngest members. Games will run from 10-11am followed by awards from 11-11.30am.

Abingdon Men start their 2023 campaign for Summer League glory, pushing back at 6.30pm. If you are not playing, why not come along to support our teams? The match schedule this year will enable fantastic club support across all our games. The club AGM will be held this year in the Energy Lounge at Tilsley Park. We will make every effort to make this available online but it would be great to have as many people present as possible. The committee will deliver the annual financial review, present the team reports, feedback on the recent club survey, and hold the committee elections for the 2023/24 season.  If there are any items you would like to bring to the AGM, please contact Stephanie Liggins. Agenda and dial-in details will be circulated ahead of the meeting.
