Abingdon HC add a new team for September: A Ladies’ Development Team
The Ladies Section was very lucky last year to acquire number of very talented juniors. To help these juniors develop we are forming a Ladies Development Team and will be arranges fixtures throughout the season against other club’s development teams.
This will be a great opportunity for our juniors to gain invaluable match experience and develop their game. The development rules are such that more experienced senior players may only support their juniors and not dominate the game or score goals – which will help our juniors develop their confidence, skills and game play which they will benefit our ladies 2s and 1s as well!
But! We need help from our juniors! – **We are Looking for one our our Ladies who is under 18 to volunteer to Captain this Team- if you are interested or want to nominate someone – then get in touch!**
ALSO – we will be running a competition to name that team. Oxford Hawks name their development tea: Oxford Hawks Harriers, for example! So have a think and watch this space for details of how to enter!
