End of Season Do and Awards!
Last Saturday saw Abingdon Hockey Club have their end of season do. This year it was held at the Oxford Retreat in Oxford. It was brilliant to see so many of the club there this year, a really good turn out which is representative of the good club spirit that abounds at AHC!
After the dinner the Chairlady gave her speech and drew attention to all the positives that have come out of this season, including our 28 new members 
She also thanked the committee, umpires and players for their efforts and commitment this season. Special mention went to Will Trigg who scored his 200th goal for Abingdon this season!! Well done Will!
Then the awards were given as follows:
Men’s 1st XI player of the season: Drew Jeffries
Men’s 2nd XI player of the season: Nick Green
Men’s 3rd XI player of the season: Richard Myhill
Ladies 1st XI player of the season: Helen Karditsas (runner-up in this very closely fought contest was Sarah Fabes)
Ladies 2nd XI player of the season: Kirby.
Club Person of the season: Jen Nicholson
